The Retreat at Legacy Park in Orlando
Busch Gardens is the ultimate family adventure park offering an array of fascinating attractions based on exotic encounters with the African continent. A unique blend of thrilling rides, one of the country's premier zoos featuring more than 2,700 animals, live shows, restaurants, shops and games, Busch Gardens provides unrivaled "real" excitement for guests of every age.
Busch Gardens is loctaed on the outskirts of Tampa which is about 50 miles West of South Palms Villa and is easily reched via the I4. Given our location you can be on the I4 and on your way in 5 minutes as the intersection with the US27 is that close. It's not by accident that Busch Gardens has also been labelled "The Best Thrill Park in Florida" due to it's amazing rollercoaster rides that seem to get better and better the more you ride them.
SheiKra - the only dive-coaster in the U.S.A. is now OPEN. Set amongst the jungle ruins of a once-mighty African civilization, SheiKra begins by carrying riders up 200 feet then hurtling them 70 mph straight down at a 90-degree angle. It will be the first coaster of its kind in North America and only the third in the world, but no other dive coaster can match the height, speed and intensity SheiKra will offer. At 200 feet, SheiKra now takes the crown as Florida's tallest roller coaster. This thrill machine is also the tallest dive coaster in the world and the first of its kind to incorporate an Immelmann loop (a rolling maneuver), a second, 138-foot dive into an underground tunnel and a water-feature finale. With more than half a mile of steel track, SheiKra offers a total ride time of just over three minutes. With its adrenalin-pumping vertical drops, high speed, multiple coaster elements and overall experience, SheiKra is certain to fulfill thrill seekers' expectations and solidify Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's standing as the state's coaster king,” said Dan Brown, executive vice president and general manager, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. As the eighth member of the park's family of renowned coasters, the name SheiKra evokes the power and speed of an African hawk as it plunges, twists and turns, giving riders a bird's-eye view of an adventure unlike any other. SheiKra will serve as the centerpiece of Busch Gardens' newly themed Stanleyville area, which will also include shopping options and the new 500-seat, indoor/outdoor Zambia Smokehouse. The restaurant is situated on the coaster's perimeter, allowing guests to be a part of the action while dining..."
|Gwazi - is Busch Gardens mammoth double wooden coaster. It's also the Southeast's largest and fastest double wooden roller coaster, boasting more than 1.25 million board feet of lumber and more than 2 million bolted connections. Named after a fabled lion with a tiger's head, Gwazi races riders through almost 7,000 feet of track and six "flyby" maneuvers in which trains pass within feet of each other at crossing speeds of 100 mph. Gwazi is in reality two distinct coasters intertwined: Gwazi Tiger has an element that gives riders a slalom sensation, more like a bobsled than a wooden coaster. Gwazi Lion's highlight is a seemingly continuous number of spirals.|
